This year, amenities like CabinWatch and a larger, more user-friendly infotainment screen, make the Odyssey feel like part of the family. Does the 2019 Odyssey come with different engine options?

The base engine of the Odyssey is a 3.5L V6 engine that generates up to 280 HP at 6,000 RPM and up to 262 LB-FT of torque at 4,700 RPM. With this capacity, the 2019 Odyssey has a maximum towing capacity of 3,000 LBS. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It features an intelligent traction management system with snow mode, which ensures a safe driving experience around Penn State even in the worst possible conditions.

In addition to the base engine, a 3.5L, six-cylinder engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission is standard on the Touring, the top of the Odyssey line. This engine produces up to 280 HP and 262 LB-FT of torque, and it has a slightly improved towing capacity of 3,500 LBS, which means you can get your family and all your stuff where you need to go, no problem.

What safety features does the Honda Odyssey have available?

Safety is certainly a priority in the 2019 Odyssey, which is equipped with Honda's comprehensive Honda Sensing® package. This package features numerous driver-assistance aids that are designed to prevent accidents in Mt. Union from happening and keep you as safe as possible when they're unavoidable. This package includes a collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation, and lane-keep assistance. In addition to this package, backup sensors and blind-spot monitoring are available safety features on select trims. CabinWatch, which is an interior camera that lets adults keep an eye on the backseats without turning around, is standard on the Touring trim.

Does the 2019 Honda Odyssey have a Blu-Ray player?

The interior of the 2019 Odyssey is exceptionally spacious, well-equipped, and made with high-quality materials. Up to eight adult passengers can comfortably fit in this minivan, which has three rows of spacious seats. Standard technology on the Odyssey includes a 5-in. infotainment display screen with Bluetooth and hands-free text message capability. Two USB ports keep your devices fully charged. A number of features are available too, including the option to upgrade to a larger 8-in. infotainment screen that comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, HD radio, and navigation. A Wi-Fi hotspot and a Blu-ray entertainment system keep the back-row passengers occupied and quiet when driving around Tyrone.

What are the different trim levels of the 2019 Honda Odyssey?

There are five trim levels available in the latest Odyssey. Each one comes with a set of standard features and available amenities.

The LX is the base model. It comes with a number of features including a push-button start, hands-free Bluetooth, a USB audio interface, automatic climate control, and split-folding third-row seats. The LX has a multi-angle rearview camera to ensure safe reversing, which comes in handy when you're trying to back out of tight spaces throughout Mt. Union. The front seats in the LX are power-operated, and the car rides on 18-inch wheels.

The next trim up is the EX. The EX has all the amenities that the LX offers and more. One notable highlight of this trim level is that it comes standard with the Honda Sensing safety system. Blind-spot monitoring is also a standard feature on the EX that gives you peace of mind when you're driving on the highways of State College. The EX has a smart entry system for convenience, and the second row of seats can slide back to create more space in the cabin. A larger eight-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto is standard in this trim. A remote engine start makes for a quick and easy commute through Mechanicsburg in the morning.

The EX-L builds onto the EX's amenities with a variety of features. Leather-trimmed seats in this trim give the Odyssey a more sophisticated feel. A 115V power outlet is optional in the front to keep electronics charged. Navigation to get through Philipsburg and beyond can be added on to the infotainment package, and an optional PA system lets the front seat passengers communicate with others in the back rows. A sunroof comes standard on this trim, and a hands-free liftgate lets you load and unload accessories with convenience and ease.

The Touring adds even more to the list of standard and optional Odyssey features. The Touring trim comes with a number of external improvements, such as LED headlights and LED fog lights, which make driving around Pennsylvania's backroads at night safer. The infotainment system comes with navigation to help you get through Philipsburg traffic jams and stay on track on long road trips. Front and rear parking sensors make backing up a breeze, while a mobile hotspot keeps you connected wherever you go. On even the longest car rides around Mechanicsburg, a rear entertainment system keeps passengers in the back seat occupied without a fuss.

The highest possible trim that you can get in the Odyssey is the Elite. Every passenger will ride first class around Tyrone in this sophisticated trim, which has premier amenities including leather-trimmed seats (that are also heated and ventilated), a handy wireless phone charger, a premium 11-speaker audio system to catch your favorite Penn State radio channels, and rain-sensing windshield wipers that intuitively adjust to keep the windshield clear during even the heaviest downpours. If you didn't feel super cool already driving around in the Elite, the LED blue ambient lighting in the interior will make you feel even trendier. Completing the Elite's notable features is the fact that it has larger 19-inch alloy wheels, which makes it even more of a head-turner.

With impressive technology, first-class safety features, and an interior that outperforms other minivans in luxury and prestige, the 2019 Honda Odyssey changes the image of the minivan from a simple, practical vehicle to one that's modern, comfortable, and just as trendy as any other car on the market.
